Merima Cvetkovic missing from Étupes, France

Authorities in the Doubs department have launched an appeal for witnesses following the disappearance of 68-year-old Merima Cvetkovic. She was last seen leaving her home in Étupes on foot on the afternoon of Friday, October 30, 2026.

Cvetkovic, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, left her residence without her mobile phone, identification documents, or means of payment. She is described as being approximately 1.58 meters tall with a normal build and grey hair. A notable distinguishing feature is a green plastic keychain inscribed with “Appelez-moi” (Call me), which includes her children's phone numbers.

While her exact clothing at the time of her departure is unknown, she is known to frequently walk along the canal between Étupes and Montbéliard. The Étupes gendarmerie is leading the investigation and is requesting any information that could assist in locating her.
