Meritxell Colell Aparicio film to premiere at FICER in Argentina

The Entre Ríos International Film Festival (FICER) will host the Argentine premiere of ‘Lejos de los árboles’, the latest feature film by Catalan director Meritxell Colell Aparicio. The screening will take place within the festival’s ‘Panorama Internacional’ section.

Colell is a prominent figure in Spanish auteur cinema. Her previous works include ‘Con el viento’ (2018), which premiered at the Berlinale, and ‘Dúo’ (2023), which earned her a Best Director award at the Málaga Film Festival. Her new film previously premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, where it received the FIPRESCI Prize.

FICER is organized by the Government of Entre Ríos through the Instituto Autárquico Audiovisual de Entre Ríos (IAAER) in collaboration with the Asociación de Realizadores Audiovisuales de Entre Ríos (ARAER). The festival is scheduled to run from November 24 to 29.
