Meritz Securities launches AI investment platform MOUM

Meritz Securities has officially launched ‘MOUM’, an artificial intelligence-driven investment platform designed to strengthen its retail market presence. The new mobile trading system (MTS) aims to diversify the company’s revenue stream, which has historically been heavily concentrated in investment banking (IB) and asset management.

Key features of MOUM include an open structure that allows users to access services without a mandatory login. The platform integrates AI-powered analysis, enabling investors to ask specific questions about company earnings, news, and market trends. For example, users can inquire about Nvidia’s data center growth and receive summarized insights based on real-time data.

To foster a global investment environment, Meritz has integrated social communities from Stocktwits and Webull, allowing Korean investors to view translated real-time reactions from international traders. The platform is built on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) hybrid cloud infrastructure to manage high traffic volatility during market openings and closings, while maintaining sensitive financial data in secure, private data centers.

CEO Jang Won-jae stated that the platform was rebuilt from the ground up to accommodate future investment products and a global trading environment, moving beyond a simple trading app to create a comprehensive investment ecosystem.
