Meritz Securities launches first promissory notes

Meritz Securities has launched its first suite of promissory note products, approximately one month after receiving authorization for short-term financial business. The offering includes three types: liquid, fixed-term, and a special offline promotion.

For individual clients, the liquid promissory note offers an annual interest rate of 2.50%. Fixed-term products provide rates ranging from 2.80% to 4.00% for individuals and 2.70% to 4.00% for corporations, depending on the term. To attract new customers, the firm is offering a special 6-month fixed-term promotion with a 5.00% annual interest rate, limited to a total sales volume of 10 billion KRW.

As a designated comprehensive financial investment business with equity exceeding 4 trillion KRW, Meritz Securities can issue promissory notes up to 200% of its own capital, providing a potential funding capacity of approximately 16.7 trillion KRW. The company aims to use these funds to expand its capital procurement channels and fulfill mandatory venture capital supply obligations required by financial authorities.
