Merlin partners with Israel Aerospace Industries on AI-powered cargo plane autonomy

Merlin, Inc. announced that it will hold a webcast and Q&A session on August 13, 2026 to present its second‑quarter 2026 results. The presentation will review the company’s performance through the quarter ending July 30, 2026.

In a separate development, Merlin signed a memorandum of understanding with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to jointly develop, integrate and certify AI‑powered autonomous systems for commercial cargo aircraft. The partnership will involve market exploration, engineering collaboration, regulatory preparation and initial platform selection, aiming to create a pathway toward civil certification for large, multi‑crew cargo planes under Merlin’s Condor product family. IAI will contribute its expertise in aircraft design, certification, advanced avionics and freighter conversions, while Merlin will provide its autonomy technology.
