Mersin Metropolitan Municipality hosted a voluntary grooming event at the Kaşlı Animal Shelter and Natural Life Area to support dogs awaiting adoption. The initiative brought together ten local pet groomers and animal lovers to provide essential hygiene services, including baths, haircuts, and nail care.

The primary goal of the collaboration is to improve the physical appearance and health of the dogs, thereby increasing their chances of being successfully adopted into new homes. Veterinarian Mustafa Ersen Bebek noted that the shelter provides comprehensive services such as treatment, sterilization, vaccination, and rehabilitation, and emphasized that such volunteer cooperation significantly aids the adoption process.

Organizers, including Bulut Zekâ, coordinated with local professionals to facilitate the event. Participants highlighted that while the shelter meets basic needs, the grooming efforts help make the animals more attractive to potential owners, helping them find permanent families.
