Mersin begins Müftü Deresi Yaşam Vadisi urban project

The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality has commenced the first stage of the Müftü Deresi Yaşam Vadisi Project, a large-scale urban development initiative designed to integrate nature, sports, and social life within the city. The total project is planned to span three stages, covering a vast area of 1,539,000 square meters.

The first stage focuses on a 190,000-square-meter section, including approximately 50,000 square meters of green space landscaping. This initial phase covers a 2.2-kilometer route stretching from Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard in the south to approximately 400 meters north of Hüseyin Okan Merzeci Boulevard.

Designed as a holistic living space, the valley will feature 2,175 meters of bicycle paths and 645 meters of running tracks to promote active lifestyles. The project also includes three children's playgrounds, two sports areas, observation terraces, and various social and cultural spaces intended for residents of all ages.
