Mersin Chamber of Commerce launches textile export project

The Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) has initiated the Mersin Textile Cluster International Competitiveness Development UR-GE Project. The initiative aims to increase the export capacity and global competitiveness of local textile and ready-to-wear firms.

The project currently includes 15 companies, with plans to expand the participant list to 22. Key objectives include transitioning to a sustainable, high-value-added export structure and fostering cooperation among firms to facilitate joint investments.

During the project's inaugural meeting, led by MTSO Chairman Serdar Yıldızgörer, technical details were provided regarding needs analysis, employment, training, consultancy services, and international market research. The goal is to establish a successful model for the textile sector that can be replicated across Turkey.
