Mersin Metropolitan Municipality completes 14km road in Bozyazı

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality has completed a 14-kilometer asphalt road project between Derbent and Ustalar in the Bozyazı district. The project involved extensive infrastructure and ground improvement work, including spreading, watering, and compacting the roadbed to ensure durability.

Local officials noted that the renovated road serves as a vital connection for highland tourism and agriculture. The route acts as a shortcut for travelers heading toward Karaman, Konya, and Ankara. Additionally, local neighborhood heads reported that the widened and improved road allows trucks transporting fruits and vegetables to move more easily, supporting the region's economic activity.
