Mersin Metropolitan Municipality hosts cultural festival in Tekke Village

The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality organized a cultural festival for children in Tekke Village, located in the Akdeniz district. Under the ‘Köy Bizim, Şenlik Bizim’ (Our Village, Our Festival) initiative, the event aimed to bring culture and art to rural neighborhoods.

Children participated in various activities, including theater performances such as ‘Puss in Boots’, dancing, face painting, and traditional games like tug-of-war. The municipality also provided educational gifts, such as Rubik's cubes, to support cognitive development. Alican Karakaş from the municipality's Department of Culture, Art, and Social Affairs stated that these events are part of a broader effort to reach various rural areas, including Bozyazı, Anamur, Gülnar, Erdemli, and Çamlıyayla.
