Mersin Metropolitan Municipality provides mobile hair salon services

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality is providing personal care services to rural neighborhoods through its ‘Mobile Hairdresser’ project. The initiative aims to assist residents in remote areas who face difficulties accessing hair salons and barbers due to distance from the city center or high costs.

Coordinated by the Department of Social Services, the mobile unit provides hair cutting and coloring for women, as well as hair and beard trimming for men. To date, the service has reached 40,100 people. The mobile team recently visited Şahna Mahallesi in the Erdemli district, located approximately 50 kilometers from the city center, to provide these services to local residents.
