Mersin police dismantle synthetic drug lab in packaging warehouse
Authorities in Mersin, Turkey, have dismantled a synthetic drug manufacturing operation hidden within a plastic packaging warehouse in the Akdeniz district. Following a coordinated raid by narcotics and intelligence units under the direction of the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police seized a significant quantity of illicit materials.
Seized items include 303,698 finished synthetic drug pills, approximately 618,663 empty capsules, and 17.762 kilograms of synthetic drug raw material. The operation also uncovered a production line consisting of two pressing machines and various specialized apparatuses.
Three suspects, identified as H. C. G. (27), F. E. D. (26), and M. H. P., were apprehended. Following their appearance before a judge, all three were arrested on charges of manufacturing and trading narcotic substances. Investigations into the supply chain and distribution networks of the facility are ongoing.
