Mersin tennis tournament concludes with Sena Belgin and Alperen Yıldız as champions

The 30 August Victory Day Tennis Tournament has concluded at the Macit Özcan Sports Facilities in Mersin. Organized by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality to commemorate the 104th anniversary of Victory Day, the event brought together participants from the municipality's free tennis courses.

In the women's category, Sena Belgin claimed the championship title, while Alperen Yıldız won the men's category. Following the final matches, an award ceremony was held where finalists received trophies and all participants were awarded medals. Special honors were also presented for categories including ‘Youngest Athlete’, ‘Oldest Athlete’, ‘Most Gentlemanly Athlete’, and ‘Most Combative Athlete’.

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality tennis coach Abidin Kuruağaç expressed satisfaction with the high level of participation, noting the goal to expand the reach of tennis within the city. Future tournament planning includes a ‘Republic Cup’ to coincide with the October 29 Republic Day celebrations.
