Mersin welding course achieves 85% employment rate

The Steel Welding Course organized by the MERCEK Vocational Training Centers, under the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, has achieved an 85 percent employment rate. Out of 153 graduates from 22 terms, 128 individuals have secured positions within the industry.

The program provides both theoretical and practical training. To assist with professional certification, the municipality covers the examination fees for the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) exams, removing economic barriers for participants.

The course has also contributed to gender diversity in the sector; of the 153 graduates, 15 were women, and 11 of the employed graduates were women.
