Mersin's Hamzabeyli Village Festival Boosts Women Producers

The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality's Women and Family Services Department organised a village festival at the Köyümüz Atölye in Hamzabeyli Mahallesi, Toroslar. The event brought together local women cooperatives, allowing them to display and sell handmade products while interacting with residents.

Children enjoyed science‑based games, Zumba demonstrations and stage shows, and the Municipal Turkish Music Orchestra and folk‑dance troupe performed for the crowd. Şerife Hasoğlu Dokucu, head of the Women and Family Services Department, said, "We give women coordination and training so they can produce in professional, hygienic conditions and sell their products." Mersin Women Cooperative President Meral Seçer also visited stalls, purchasing items and supporting the entrepreneurs.
