Mert Ödeş meets with local press in Gümüşhane

Mert Ödeş, the Erzincan Regional Director of the Presidency of Communications, met with local press members in Gümüşhane to discuss the challenges facing regional media. The meeting, held at the Zeki Kadirbeyoğlu Mansion, included local officials such as the Deputy Governor of Gümüşhane, the Mayor of Gümüşhane, and the Regional Director of the Press Advertisement Agency for Trabzon.

During the event, Ödeş emphasized the critical role of local media as a bridge between the state and the public. He highlighted that in an era of increasing digitalization, combating disinformation and information pollution is not merely a matter of professional ethics but also a matter of national security and public order.

Ödeş stated that efforts will continue to improve the working conditions of journalists in Gümüşhane and to strengthen communication channels between media institutions and government bodies.
