Mertzwiller officials seek animal pound services following stray dog incidents

In Mertzwiller, local authorities are moving to address safety concerns regarding stray dogs. Following an incident where a resident was injured by dogs while attempting to protect her pet, the municipal council approved a plan to delegate animal pound services to the SPA de Haguenau.

The initiative aims to provide better management and care for animals found on public roads. A tripartite agreement between the SPA de Haguenau and the Communauté d’agglomération de Haguenau is expected to be signed by the end of the year to formalize the service.
