Merwave Wavy Hair Kit Gains Popularity After Love Island Feature

Merwave, a UK‑based wavy‑hair care brand, has seen a surge in interest for its Wavy Hair Starter Kit after the products were spotted in the Love Island villa. The kit, priced at £65 (valued at £85), includes a Cleanse Shampoo, Repair Conditioner, Wave Cream, Cast Foam and a Protect Gel, each averaging £13 per item.

A Merwave survey of 1,392 women found that 47 % did not realise their hair was naturally wavy, prompting the brand to highlight signs of wave such as frizz that won’t stay controlled, hair that never looks finished and ends that puff up. The kit is marketed to help users reduce reliance on heat styling, manage frizz and enhance natural wave definition and volume. Comparable products mentioned include Give Me Cosmetics’ Four Curls Intense Hydration (£20) and Umberto Giannini’s Natural Waves Wash & Style Routine (£38).
