Meryl Streep to auction ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ costumes for charity

Meryl Streep is spearheading a charitable online auction featuring costumes and accessories from the film ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’. Organized in collaboration with Christie’s, the sale will run from September 1 to September 15.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Committee to Protect Journalists and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The event aims to support media freedom and the development of the American fashion industry.

Notable items include a Dries Van Noten tassel jacket worn by Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly, a feather dress worn by Lady Gaga, and a Gabriela Hearst Niki dress worn by Anne Hathaway, which will be offered with the stain depicted in the movie. Other items include a J. Crew cerulean blue sweater and various designer pieces worn by the film's cast.

A public exhibition of the items will be held at Christie’s in New York from September 8 to September 13.
