Mesker Park Zoo hosts Wild Summer Lights lantern festival

Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden in Evansville has announced the return of Wild Summer Lights. The event features over a mile of handcrafted Chinese lantern displays created in partnership with Tianyu Arts & Culture.

Running from July 30 through October 4, 2026, the after-hours experience includes live local music and a rotating selection of food trucks. The festival is scheduled to take place Thursday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Due to the nighttime nature of the event, some animal exhibits may have limited visibility or accessibility.
