Messhof announces Blood Dungeon for Switch 2, launch Aug 25 2026

Messhof, the independent studio behind Nidhogg, announced its new action roguelike Blood Dungeon for Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The game is slated for a worldwide eShop launch on August 25 2026.

Blood Dungeon is described as a “self‑published effort … a return to their roots of frenetic, fun, movement‑focused gameplay.” It features bullet‑heaven platforming, over 100 enemy types, nine unlockable playable characters, six unique survival arenas, more than 100 quests, and a dynamic “dungeon dnb” soundtrack composed by Thomas Hooey.
