Messi family foundation launches fundraising for Rosario children's hospital

The Messi family has a long history of supporting public health in Rosario and the Santa Fe province through the Messi Foundation. According to Víctor J. Vilela, a representative of the foundation assisting the Hospital de Niños de Rosario, the family's contributions have included funding bone marrow transplant teams and the near-total reconstruction of the hospital's oldest sector, Room 1.

Vilela highlighted the discreet nature of these contributions, specifically noting the simplicity and conduct of the late Jorge Messi. Following the completion of the Oncohematology Day Hospital, which involved an investment of 1,021 million pesos, the foundation has launched a new fundraising campaign. The initiative aims to raise approximately 420,000 dollars by the end of the year to expand the hospital's bone marrow transplant area.
