Messina and Palmese secure young Italian talents Pellegrino and Iervolino

Messina announced the acquisition of 18‑year‑old left‑back Alessandro Pellegrino. Born in Milan on 1 March 2005, Pellegrino progressed through youth sides including Cimiano Calcio and Pergolettese before joining Inter’s academy in 2022. He spent the 2023‑24 season on loan at Renate and later at Pistoiese, appearing in Serie C and Serie D matches.

Palmese confirmed the signing of midfielder Antonio Pio Iervolino, a 2003‑born prospect who previously played for Salernitana and spent spells with Vis Pesaro, Taranto, Żabbar St. Patrick in Malta and Audace Cerignola. Iervolino will join Palmese for the 2026‑27 season, adding depth to the club’s midfield.
