Messina authorities arrest three following weekend patrols

Carabinieri officers in the Messina and Taormina areas conducted intensive patrols over the weekend, resulting in the arrest of three individuals.

In Messina, a 24-year-old man was arrested after using a hammer to smash a commercial storefront. Surveillance footage allowed authorities to identify and locate him while he attempted to discard the tool. Additionally, a 38-year-old man with a history of gender-based violence was apprehended near his former partner's home, violating a court-ordered restraining order and eviction from the family residence.

In Giardini Naxos, an 84-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto for attempting to enter his wife's home, violating similar judicial measures regarding domestic separation and proximity bans.
