Italy law enforcement agencies undergo leadership and personnel changes

Various Italian law enforcement agencies are undergoing leadership changes and personnel reinforcements across several provinces.

In the Carabinieri, Colonel Agostino Scala has been appointed Provincial Commander of Brindisi, focusing on community proximity and organized crime. Colonel Loris Baldassarre takes command in Verbania, while Colonel Luca Ciabocco assumes leadership in Terni. In Catanzaro, Major Mario Petrosino is transitioning to a new role in Rome. Additionally, new officers have been appointed to the Messina Provincial Command, including Major Matteo Defilippis, Lieutenant Andrea Costa, and Lieutenant Giuseppe Garozzo.

The Polizia di Stato is strengthening its presence in Trapani with the arrival of 23 new agents to support prevention and patrol activities. In Varese, two new officials have joined the Questura.

The Guardia di Finanza has seen a leadership change in Caltanissetta, with Colonel Piergiorgio Vanni succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Beppe La Sala. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, Brigadier General Bruno Salsano has been named the new Regional Commander, succeeding Brigadier General Fabrizio Nieddu.

In the aeronautical sector, Lieutenant Colonel Carmelo Catalano has assumed command of the Otranto aeronautical detachment, succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Bruno Centonze.
