Messina prosecutors petitioned over disputed transfer of two minors

Lawyers representing two minors residing in a religious community in the Messina region have petitioned the Prosecutor's Offices of Messina and Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto to intervene. The legal team, led by Francesco Miraglia and Carmen Pino, alleges that the girls' true intentions regarding a planned transfer to a new facility were not accurately recorded in official hearing minutes.

The attorneys claim the sisters wish to remain in their current community to maintain their established daily routines, including school and social relationships. While the girls reportedly expressed a willingness to visit the proposed new structure, their lawyers argue they did not provide consent for the actual transfer. This follows a previous complaint filed on August 28 regarding alleged anomalies in the management of foster care placements and resident transfers within the facility.
