Ongoing discussions with the European Commission address environmental requirements and procurement rules, with technical integrations to be submitted in the coming days. The government will also present a new cabinet decree outlining the public‑interest justification for the bridge.

The board is chaired by Maurizio Basile and the company’s chief executive is Pietro Ciucci, who reported progress on the initiative.
