Messina student housing project launches 50 million euro fund
The Finint Zanklon Student Living real estate fund has been established to develop university residences in Messina, Sicily. The fund consists of 50 million euros in capital aimed at addressing the growing demand for housing among local and international students.
Investment is split between the European Investment Bank (EIB), which is contributing 24.8 million euros through its Integrated Urban Plans Fund, and Zanklon Capital S.r.l., which holds a majority stake with 25.2 million euros. The project is managed by Finint Investments SGR, while the international platform Yugo, part of The Dot Group, will oversee operations under a 25-year contract.
The development includes three residential sites located in Minissale, via Bergamo, and viale Regina Margherita. The project aims to provide approximately 2,286 beds, with an expected opening for the 2029/30 academic year.
