Messina Volley reconfirms Marcela Nielsen as player-coach

Messina Volley has confirmed Marcela Nielsen will continue in a dual role as both player and coach for the upcoming Serie B2 national championship season. This marks Nielsen's second year leading the technical side of the club and her fourth season as a player for the team.

Following a successful previous season where the team reached the play-off semi-finals with 25 wins in 28 matches, club president Mario Rizzo expressed confidence in Nielsen's professional experience and ability to drive the club's ambitious goals. Nielsen noted that while managing a team while playing is a significant responsibility, she intends to focus on continuous improvement and technical development for the squad.
