Messini water supply network project enters final stage

The water supply network improvement and replacement project stretching from the Barka springs in Kurtaki to Velika has reached its final stage. The project involves the construction of approximately 18 km of external network.

Funded by the Recovery Fund with a budget of €2,803,225.81, the infrastructure aims to ensure water sufficiency, reduce leaks, and improve environmental protection in the region. Once completed, the project will serve several settlements, including Kurtaki, Ano Drosia, Drosia, Dara, Neromylos, Karpofora, Dafni, Rizomylos, and Velika.

Work is currently underway to restore the road surfaces in areas where cuts were made for the pipeline installation. Messini Mayor Giorgos Athanasopoulos emphasized that significant importance is being placed on returning the roads to residents in the best possible condition.
