Messinia Terroirs Wine Festival returns to Greece in 2026
The 4th Messinia Terroirs Wine Festival is scheduled to take place on August 28 and 29, 2026, at Navarino Agora and W Costa Navarino. Organized by the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the event serves as the culmination of the Messinia Terroirs strategic program, which connects 18 local wineries to promote a unified regional identity and sustainable development.
The festival program features a Tasting Square at Navarino Agora where 18 Messinian producers will showcase their wines, alongside participation from networks such as Primarolia, Oinoxenia, and Malvasia Myth. Educational and cultural activities include masterclasses on local varieties like Koroneia and Cabernet Sauvignon, thematic discussions on Mediterranean diet and terroir, and an exhibition of minerals and fossils curated by the University of Patras's Laboratory of Paleontology and Stratigraphy.
Additional activities include wine-pairing experiences led by Chef Iakovos Apergis and Hyacinth Tyrovala-Dagre, as well as artistic performances and educational games for families inspired by local geology and mythology.
