Messolonghi by Locals Festival to feature 40 cultural activities

The Messolonghi by Locals Festival is scheduled to take place from August 28 to August 30, 2026. The event aims to highlight the cultural identity and history of Messolonghi through 40 different activities designed for both residents and visitors.

The program includes experiential and creative workshops, lagoon-based activities, sports, cycling, running on Mount Araksos, boat trips, guided tours, gastronomic workshops, and musical evenings. A dedicated program has also been developed specifically for children of various ages.

Organizers, including co-founder Alexandros Panagiotopoulos, intend for the festival to serve as a tool for regional extroversion, encouraging visitors to stay in the city for the duration of the three-day event. The festival is supported by 65 volunteers and seeks to create new opportunities for the future of the area through creative synergies.
