Messolonghi student injured by falling window at Neochori Lyceum

A student at the Neochori Lyceum in Messolonghi was injured when a window frame detached and fell onto their head during class. The first-year high school student was transported by ambulance to Messolonghi Hospital for medical examination and treatment. Initial reports indicate the injuries are not serious.

The incident has raised significant concerns regarding the safety of school infrastructure. The building is reportedly over 50 years old and lacks a building permit. Notably, the accident occurred without strong winds or seismic activity to explain the structural failure. The collapse of the entire window frame, rather than just the glass, has prompted calls for immediate technical inspections of the remaining fixtures to prevent further accidents.
