Mestre and Atletico Ascoli announce new player signings

Italian Serie D club Mestre confirmed the arrival of Argentine‑Italian forward Pablo Ezequiel Banegas. The 31‑year‑old, nicknamed “El Pocho”, joins from Fasano after a career spent largely in Italian lower divisions, accumulating over 400 appearances and 140 goals.

Atletico Ascoli also announced the signing of 18‑year‑old midfielder Yeyhia Maiga Silvestri. A product of the club’s youth system, Maiga Silvestri has featured in Serie B and Serie C and most recently helped Teramo win the Serie D playoff in group F. He said he chose Ascoli for the project and ambition of the team.
