MET Group appoints Esther Ang as CEO of MET Asia

MET Asia, the Singapore-based regional arm of MET Group, has announced the appointment of Esther Ang as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2026. Ang succeeds her previous role as Head of LNG Origination on MET International’s LNG Desk, where she spent nine years contributing to the expansion of the group’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) activities and global reach.

As CEO, Ang will lead the development of origination and trading activities across Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. Her mandate includes supporting MET Group’s goal to increase its global LNG portfolio and regional energy presence.

Established in Singapore in 2023, MET Asia serves as the group’s platform for regional expansion, focusing on energy infrastructure, renewable energy, and flexibility assets. While MET Group delivered 5.42 million tonnes of LNG primarily to Europe in 2025, the company expects its portfolio to grow this year, with Asian deliveries projected to reach 30% of total delivered volumes.
