Met Éireann issues yellow rain warnings for several Irish counties

Met Éireann has issued Status Yellow rain warnings for several counties in Ireland, forecasting heavy rain and potential thunderstorms.

From 9:00 pm Friday until 9:00 am Saturday, warnings apply to Galway, Mayo, Leitrim, Sligo, and Donegal. These areas are expected to experience wet and windy conditions, with risks of localised flooding, difficult travel, and lightning damage.

Starting at 9:00 am Saturday and lasting until 9:00 pm, the warnings will extend to Cork and Kerry. As the rain moves southwards, heavy rainfall is expected to linger over southern areas throughout much of Saturday, while the north may see a clearance to scattered showers.
