Meta integrates Muse smart assistant with Spotify

Meta is expanding the capabilities of its smart assistant, Muse, through a new direct integration with Spotify. This update allows users to manage audio content within a chat interface without switching applications. Users can request specific songs, search for podcasts, save audiobooks to their library, or instruct the assistant to compile new playlists.

A notable feature is the ‘Personal Podcast’ function, which converts a user’s daily notes, reminders, and news summaries into a short audio clip saved to their Spotify profile. Muse also supports various other third-party services, including Notion, Expedia, Ticketmaster, and PayPal. Currently, the assistant is limited to users in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with expansion to European and other global markets expected in the coming months.
