Meta has launched parental supervision features for its Threads application, specifically targeting users in the Asia Pacific region, including Indonesia. These tools are integrated into the Meta Family Center, allowing parents or guardians to monitor and manage the digital activities of teenagers on the platform.

Key capabilities include tracking time spent on the app, viewing daily usage averages, and setting time limits. Parents can also manage privacy settings, control sensitive content preferences, and decide whether users under the age of 16 are permitted to loosen their account restrictions.

While teen accounts on Threads already feature automatic protections—such as default private profiles and content restrictions—this update provides parents with direct oversight and analytical insights into their children's usage patterns.
