Meta launches Ray-Ban smart glasses in Portugal
Meta and EssilorLuxottica are officially launching the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta smart glasses in Portugal on October 19. Separately, Meta has addressed reports regarding a technical glitch where some users experienced unauthorized audio recordings. Users reported that their glasses were capturing conversations and generating transcriptions in the Meta AI app without the “Hey Meta” activation command. Meta stated that the issue has been resolved, though the company did not specify the technical cause of the malfunction.
