Procore to acquire DroneDeploy for $845 million
Procore Technologies announced a definitive agreement to acquire DroneDeploy, Inc. for approximately $845 million in cash. The transaction, subject to customary purchase‑price adjustments and regulatory approvals, is expected to close later in 2026. DroneDeploy provides visual‑intelligence and reality‑capture technology that is used on more than three million jobsites in over 180 countries, having collected visual data covering about 20 trillion square feet, tens of millions of annotations and over 100 000 labeled safety issues. Procore’s construction‑management platform already contains nearly 400 million photos, over 126 million drawings and more than 10 million RFIs, submittals and inspections from the past year. By combining these extensive datasets, Procore plans to train AI‑powered digital coworkers that can observe site conditions, reason across data and automatically trigger actions, helping address labor shortages and automate manual inspections. Procore has also secured a senior‑secured bridge loan of up to $700 million from Goldman Sachs to support the deal, and the purchase price represents roughly six times DroneDeploy’s lifetime venture funding of about $142 million.
