Meta signs multi-year NAND flash deal with SanDisk, lifting shares
Meta Platforms announced a multi‑year agreement to procure NAND flash memory from SanDisk as part of its $145 billion AI infrastructure build‑out. The deal also includes DRAM from Samsung and fiber optics from Sumitomo, and is expected to support the launch of Meta’s Iris AI chips with Broadcom and manufacturing by TSMC.
The announcement triggered a sharp reaction in the markets. SanDisk stock jumped roughly 7‑10 % during Thursday trading, while Meta shares initially fell about 4 % before recovering to a modest gain by late morning. Analysts lifted price targets on SanDisk and noted the agreement provides visible demand for its storage products.
Other semiconductor partners such as Broadcom and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing are also set to benefit from the expanded AI data‑center supply chain.
