Meta smart glasses receive feature updates and price discounts

Meta and its partners are expanding the capabilities and accessibility of their smart glasses lineup. The Oakley Meta HSTN, designed for sports, is currently seeing a price reduction on Amazon, dropping to 299 euros. These glasses feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera capable of 3K Ultra HD video, open-ear audio, and Meta AI integration. They are designed for outdoor activities with IPX4 sweat and splash resistance and integration with fitness platforms like Garmin and Strava.

Additionally, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses have received significant firmware updates. Version 129 introduces new accessibility features for audio, including a mono audio mode to ensure sound is heard by users with hearing impairments in one ear, and an audio balancing tool to adjust sound distribution between the left and right sides. Other updates include the introduction of step-by-step pedestrian navigation.
