Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 performance on Switch 2 revealed

Konami has detailed how the games in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will run on Nintendo's Switch and the newer Switch 2. On Switch 2, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots targets 60 fps in both docked and handheld modes, with a resolution of up to 1440 p when docked and 1080 p handheld. The original Switch version runs the same title at 30 fps, 1080 p docked and 720 p handheld. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker also reaches 60 fps on Switch 2 at 1080 p in both modes, while the original Switch caps it at 30 fps with 720 p handheld. Konami noted storage needs of about 20 GB for the full collection on Switch and 26 GB on Switch 2 (up to 36 GB via retro‑compatibility), with individual titles requiring roughly 7 GB on Switch and 13 GB on Switch 2. Additional graphical options are available on Switch 2 when docked, though details on texture or shadow improvements were not disclosed.
