Metal music features Forgotten Tales and industrial soundtracks
Radio programming highlights include a feature on the Canadian symphonic power metal band Forgotten Tales. Founded in 1999 in Quebec City by Martin Desharnais and Sonia Pineault, the band aimed to introduce European power metal to the Quebec region. Following a milestone performance supporting Nightwish in Montreal in 2000, the group transitioned from covers to original material characterized by complex arrangements and Pineault’s expressive vocals. Their debut album, ‘The Promise’, saw distribution in Canada, Japan, and Russia.
Additionally, the KINK Distortion program ‘Teloorgang’ presents a soundtrack focused on industrial metal. The selection includes artists such as Ministry, Strapping Young Lad, Mysticum, The Monolith Deathcult, Killing Joke, Rammstein, Fear Factory, and Rob Zombie.
