Metal music scene updates: New releases from PAIN, THŪN, and SIGH

The international metal scene features several upcoming releases and musical updates. Swedish industrial metal band PAIN, led by Peter Tägtgren, has released a new song titled ‘I don’t give a fukk’.

In the death doom metal genre, the trio THŪN has scheduled the release of their fourth long-player, ‘IV: Changeling’, for November 6, 2026. Meanwhile, the Venezuelan technical death metal group BURIAL RUTHLESS, now based in Barcelona, released their debut album ‘Held by evil’ in August 2026.

From Canada, the blackened thrash metal band ETERNAL DRAK has released ‘The violence of time’, a ten-song collection featuring the track ‘We forced it to speak’. Additionally, the Japanese avant-garde metal band SIGH is set to release ‘Goh-Ka’ on September 4, 2026, featuring a collaboration with Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth on the single ‘Unputenpu’. SIGH is also scheduled to perform several concerts in Germany and the Netherlands in September 2026.
