Metallica debuts classic tracks during Las Vegas Sphere residency
Metallica is performing a residency titled ‘Life Burns Faster’ at the Sphere in Las Vegas, featuring immersive visual technology and advanced sound systems. The residency, which runs through March 13, 2027, utilizes a ‘No Repeat Weekend’ format where Thursday and Saturday shows feature different setlists.
During recent performances, the band has reintroduced several classic tracks that had been absent from their live shows for years. On October 3, the band performed ‘Devil’s Dance’ for the first time since 2008 and ‘The Outlaw Torn’ for the first time since 2019. In a subsequent performance on October 17, the group debuted ‘Harvester of Sorrow’ from their 1988 album ‘...And Justice for All’.
While the residency has been noted for its musical surprises, some fans have expressed criticism on social media regarding the specific visual content displayed on the venue’s large-scale screens during certain songs.
