Metallica launches Life Burns Faster residency at Las Vegas Sphere

Metallica has commenced its ‘Life Burns Faster’ residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. The residency features a unique ‘No Repeat Weekend’ format, where the band performs two entirely different setlists on consecutive Thursdays and Saturdays. This structure mirrors their ongoing M72 world tour.

The residency, which began on October 1, 2026, is scheduled to run through March 13, 2027. It includes a total of 24 performances spread across October, November, January, February, and March. The venue, known for its 16K resolution wraparound screen and immersive technology, has a capacity of 17,600.

To enhance the fan experience, the band has branded the residency as a ‘takeover,’ featuring themed bars, a large pop-up shop, and even a blood drive. Lead singer James Hetfield described the experience of performing at the state-of-the-art venue as a ‘dream come true.’
