Meta's WhatsApp adds Android widgets, Microsoft Outlook gets macOS redesign

WhatsApp is preparing interactive Android widgets that will let users update their status and send voice messages directly from the home screen, according to reports from WABetaInfo. The features are still in development and have no confirmed release date.

Microsoft has released a visual overhaul of Outlook for Mac, adopting a "Liquid Glass" design that aligns with the upcoming macOS 27 "Golden Gate" aesthetic. The update also adds full PST import support and includes minor performance improvements to Word and PowerPoint for macOS.
