Metcalfa releases new hybrid jazz album

Metcalfa, the musical project of Metello Bonanno, has released a new album titled ‘Where We’re from the Birds Sing a Pretty Song’. Available on all digital platforms as of August 13, 2026, the work features eleven tracks that blend jazz and electronic music.

The album explores an ‘hybrid jazz’ style, characterized by the dialogue between drums, piano, and electronic sounds. The tracks are inspired by various real and imaginary locations, including the cinematic atmosphere of Twin Peaks, the concept of Shangri-La, and the city of Lund in southern Sweden.
