Mete Gazoz wins bronze at Archery World Cup Final

Turkish archer Mete Gazoz won a bronze medal in the men's recurve category at the 2026 Archery World Cup Final held in Saltillo, Mexico.

After losing 6-0 to Japan's Junya Nakanishi in the semifinals, Gazoz competed in the third-place match. He secured the bronze medal by defeating France's Jean-Charles Valladont with a 6-0 score.

Other Turkish competitors, including Ulaş Berkim Tümer in the men's recurve and Hazal Burun in the women's compound, were eliminated in the quarterfinal stage. With Gazoz's achievement, Turkey's total medal count for the 2026 Archery World Cup season has reached 15, consisting of 4 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
